Meet The Team

Helenna Nobler is our Founder and CEO and has been rescuing dogs from China and bringing them to the US to find their forever homes since 2017. 

To date, she has led efforts to save over 1,000 dogs and has devoted her whole life to the important and selfless work of rescuing dogs from the meat trade in China. Until May of 2023, she funded everything herself, which was just not sustainable given the costs associated with bringing dogs to the US are always higher than what we receive for adoption fees.  Helenna is thrilled to now have the support of a dedicated team to help with the logistics - including fundraising support, to offset some of the costs with donations so that we can sustain the great work she has been doing.

Margo has been an animal lover her whole life and got involved in combating the Dog & Cat Meat Trade twelve years ago. Together with other activists, she helped pass H.R. 6720 – the Dog and Cat Meat Trade Prohibition Act of 2018, which banned the consumption and slaughter of dogs and cats in 44 states. Margo also participated in rescuing dogs from experimental labs in China, collaborating with amazing people from China and the US. In 2019, Margo joined an international rescue effort in Las Vegas, saving Golden Retrievers from the Dog Meat Trade. This experience expanded her knowledge and understanding of global rescue operations. Her ultimate dream is to end the terrible atrocities animals face not just abroad, but worldwide. "It's a mission that requires collective effort."

​Robert is a Human Resources leader by profession, but as expected, he is also a big dog lover and is so grateful to be supporting Hope for China Dogs Rescue. 

Robert serves on our Board of Directors as Secretary, and has been instrumental in helping us to establish our infrastructure (our name, legal entity, non-profit status, website, logo, adoption processes, etc.)

He lives in West Hollywood with his partner Maurice, and their two dogs - Eleanor a liver and white English Springer Spaniel, and Bryan, a one-year old Golden Retriever who he recently rescued from China through our amazing Hope for China Dogs Rescue.

Tracy developed her love of animals and the NY Yankees while growing up in New Jersey.

After receiving her communications degree from Penn State she relocated to fabulous Las Vegas, with pit stops in Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado along the way.)  As our administrator, she will be keeping track of our dogs, fosters and adopters.

Tracy lives with her husband Rob, daughter Casey, two sons Derek and Jack, two golden retrievers Garvey (rescued from South Korea) and Teddy (rescued from China), and the occasional foster in need of their forever home.

Swedish born Jannica is an actress and TEDx Speaker, who also designs logos, websites and other graphics for individuals and companies. She has always been an animal lover and has rescued strays since she was a child, much to her parents dismay.

Jannica's two cats and two dogs are all street finds, and she always keeps and eye out for potential strays when out walking or driving.
